Sykes Crested Lark Breeding Film
Made this short informative film on Sykes crested lark a few years back when we were working on one research project. This was all shot using a small remote hidden camera and no wildlife was harmed or disturbed in any way. Nest photography should be avoided unless very necessary. Informative Film on Sykes Crested lark breeding. Sykes’s lark (Galerida deva) is a species of lark found in the dry open country of India. Its distribution is mainly restricted to central India, although stray records have been found elsewhere on the sub-continent. It is identified by its prominent crest and its overall rufous coloration. Declining numbers of Larks are the result of habitat loss, degradation, and fragmentation, poisoning from chemicals used on crops and high predation.
